We release a handful of compositions a year, never a wall of them. Each one begins with a single idea about a person, not an ingredient list to fill a shelf — the ingredient chosen because it serves that idea, and dropped if it doesn't. Nothing we make is designed to please everyone. It is designed to be unmistakably itself, which means some people will pass it by without a second glance. That is by design.
